Rangers ready stunning new midfielder transfer at Ibrox, they lead race
Rangers are leading the race to sign Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron on a pre-contract transfer, according to The Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reports (10 January) that the Gers are lining up a “stunning” swoop to get a deal done early ahead of the summer.
Dundee would be entitled to a compensation fee if he moved to Glasgow ahead of next season, similar to how Rangers managed to sign Connor Barron from Aberdeen.
Lyall Cameron could be another Connor Barron for Rangers

Philippe Clement heavily relied on the Scottish midfielder at the start of the campaign, but his influence in the team has dwindled recently.
The 22-year-old started 12 of the Light Blues’ first 13 Scottish Premiership games this season before finding himself on the bench.
Rangers have found an impressive duo in Mohamed Diomande and Nicolas Raskin in the engine room, with the team performing better.

The Glaswegian outfit could pull off another impressive transfer if they can seal a deal for Cameron, with a real eye on the future under Nils Koppen.
Having made his way through the youth ranks at the Dark Blues, the 22-year-old established himself in the first-team setup a couple of years back.
In the current campaign, the youngster has caught the eye of many, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.
The Bears seemingly don’t have the financial means to spend a lot of money, so getting someone like Cameron makes sense for them.
