Rangers news: Two signings on cards in brand new transfer reveal
Patrick Stewart has told the media that Rangers may sign around two players in the January transfer window.
The Gers chief executive spoke to the press on Saturday, 11 January, and confirmed that Gers will be active in the January transfer window.
However, they will not be making more than two signings and Philippe Clement still has the support of the board.
Via X, Four Lads Had a Dream wrote: “Patrick Stewart spoke to the press today. Clement is staying, full backing of the board but results must improve. Internal review of full football department to start on Monday. We will be active in January, 1 possibly 2 coming in, won’t be more than that.”
Rangers appear to have accepted mediocrity
This is a clear sign as any that the club have accepted mediocrity as the lack of standards are evident.
Not only should Clement be sacked, but there need to be at least three or four new signings in January.
While money is undoubtedly an issue, player sales can be used to raise funds, but the club have never done a good job at it.
In comparison, Celtic have done such a better job and that’s why there’s a gulf between the two Glasgow rivals.
Stewart was appointed to set the standards and raise the bar, but this appears to be the same old workings of past regimes.
Fans have every reason to be underwhelmed with this development as there is nothing to look forward to in the coming months.

Had there been a change of manager and the promise of making exciting signings, there would be excitement among the Ibrox faithful.
In other Rangers news, sources have confirmed that the club are pushing a first-team player out of the door this month.
