Clement sack: Sky Sports share major Rangers update from Auchenhowie
Philippe Clement is set to take training on Friday as pressure rises on the Rangers manager, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster reported via their live Transfer Centre blog on Friday (11:31am, 10 January) that Clement is continuing to prepare his team to face St Johnstone on Sunday (12 January) despite his side’s disappointing 1-1 draw at Dundee.
Rangers fans at Dens Park made their displeasure vocal with many seeming to believe the Belgian’s time at Ibrox is up after falling 15 points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.
Clement maintains that the Ibrox board is “200 per cent” behind him.
Will Rangers sack Philippe Clement?
It seems as though Clement has been waiting on death row for most of the season.
However, his number looks set to be finally called in the coming days after following up a brilliant Old Firm win over Celtic with miserable draws against Hibernian and Dundee.

The Light Blues have now won just one of their last five Scottish Premiership matches.
And while that solo victory was a 3-0 hammering of Celtic at Ibrox, it’s not enough to just get one over on your bitter Glasgow rivals to stay in a job in Govan.
There are issues that go beyond Clement at Ibrox. However, the Belgian seems like a shell of the man who started off so promisingly in Scotland just over a year ago.
That new contract he got in the summer looks set to cost Rangers a lot more money than anything else as it’ll no doubt ramp up the compensation owed to him when he’s inevitably axed.
