Rangers caught in early ‘Ridiculous’ moment v Dundee

Rangers were “ridiculous” as they conceded the first goal against Dundee on Thursday, Stevie Clifford says.

The Four Lads Had a Dream blogger was fuming as Oluwaseun Adewumi found the back of the net in the sixth minute at Dens Park on 9 January, with Vaclav Cerny equalising later in the half.

Philippe Clement made a surprising call ahead of the fixture, with Clinton Nsiala starting alongside Robin Propper in defence.

Clifford wrote on his Four Lads Had A Dream X account (9 January): “Narrator – Rangers obviously have nonsense in store. That was ridiculous. 1-0 Dundee.”

Rangers need win v Dundee amid Philippe Clement pressure

The Glaswegian outfit needs to get a victory against the Dark Blues as they look to secure second place in the Scottish Premiership.

Before the game, Celtic were 16 points ahead of the Light Blues in the Scottish Premiership, which is already embarrassing for the Bears.

Clement can’t afford to have his team be further behind their Old Firm rivals and be on the receiving end of ridicule with another goal needed in the second half.

Rangers shouldn’t be in the position they find themselves in the table, and any more slip-ups will only lead to more pressure on the Belgian manager.

While the win over Celtic at Ibrox on 2 January was impressive, the 50-year-old manager can’t rest on those laurels.

The Light Blues faithful will want to see their team maintain their run of form with the Europa League and Scottish Cup still in their hands.

Clement is also playing for his future in the Ibrox dugout, considering the inconsistent displays the Bears have put in this season, and a negative result at Dens Park could spell the end of his tenure.
