Rangers may have serious Hamza Igamane concern after what has been said

Hamza Igamane has been the key component of the current season for Rangers but his “very serious” story could be cause for concern in January.

Rangers have endured a fairly wretched season so far under Philippe Clement, but they have Igamane to thank that it hasn’t been any worse.

Given his performances, it comes as little surprise to see teams around the globe chasing his services and with his story getting “very serious” [Hanif Ben Berkane], concerns may continue to grow over a potential January departure.

If results don’t improve for the Gers, there is a daunting possibility that Igamane will look to take the opportunity to further his career and it would be a massive, massive blow.

Rangers cannot afford to lose Hamza Igamane

Although they may be small, Rangers still have a chance to go on and make some form of success from this season. Igamane will be at the forefront of that, so if they are to lose him, those chances will surely be curtailed.

Concerns have emerged in all areas of the pitch with the occasional weaknesses in defence being exposed, while the attacking frailties have been on show with Igamane being the only reliable source of goals at Ibrox.

Given how high his stock is and the fact that Rangers are regressing under Philippe Clement, it may make sense from his point of view to start a new adventure and very few would argue against the case of him deserving it.

His application this season has been second to none and there has to be some sympathy for the way those around him have somewhat held him and the difference he can make back.

Arguably the best bit of transfer business the Gers could do in January would be to retain his services, but it’s likely that that will be a very tough challenge.
