Scott Allan stunned by ‘astonishing’ info he was told in Hibernian v Rangers
Scott Allan was left stunned by information BBC Radio Scotland commentator Liam McLeod told him about Hibernian during their 3-3 thriller against Rangers.
McLeod relayed to former Celtic and Hibs player Allan that Hibs had won as many Scottish Premiership games in their past five fixtures as they had in the 24 prior to that.
It was a statistic that left Allan – co-commentating on the game with McLeod – struggling to comprehend, though he did add that it is why Hibs supporters had been so frustrated.
Speaking live on BBC Radio Scotland (5 January), McLeod said: “As far as Hibs are concerned, they’ve won as many league games in their past five as they did in their previous 24, which is astonishing. That’s quite damning that isn’t it Scott?”
“Yeah, it’s incredible. That’s where all the frustration has been vented from the home support, it’s why there’s been a change in managers time and time again.”
Rangers frustrated in Hibernian thriller
It’s a real struggle to catch the breath after that pulsating fixture at Easter Road but it was yet more frustration for Rangers away from Ibrox, which will have Philippe Clement banging his head against a wall.
Hibs have been hugely underwhelming all season, something that will only annoy the Belgian boss and the Gers supporters even more and really there is absolutely no way this game should have got away from the visitors.
Hamza Igamane fired Rangers into a two-goal lead and looked to have scored the winner after Hibs had fought back to level the game up.

But once again Rangers surrendered the lead and it is absolutely perplexing how they failed to leave Edinburgh with all three points on Sunday.
Having hammered Celtic so convincingly just three days ago, this was a stark reminder of how infuriatingly inconsistent this Rangers team is right now. There is much work that needs to be done.
