Hibernian v Rangers moment baffles BBC commentator – ‘Dreadful’
Liam McLeod was left baffled by Nathan Moriah-Welsh’s “dreadful” moment that gifted Rangers their third goal in the pulsating 3-3 draw against Hibernian at Easter Road.
After conceding a penalty to make it 2-2 in the 61st minute on Sunday (5 January), the Gers reclaimed the lead in the 74th minute with Hamza Igamane completing his hattrick.
It was a good finish from the 22-year-old but Moriah-Welsh gave away the ball in the build-up, which made it too easy for their opponents to take advantage of.
Speaking live on BBC Radio Scotland (5 January, 1:34pm) McLeod said: “Moriah-Welsh he was sent on because Kwon wasn’t making an impact in midfield but that is a dreadful moment for him and as good a finish and as well worked as it was thereafter by Rangers it was needless from a Hibs point of view.”
Rangers settle for a point with Hibernian
Rangers will be disappointed to only come away with a point after a rollercoaster of a game against Hibernian on Sunday (5 January).
Despite taking an early lead after four minutes, the Gers struggled to keep their standards high throughout the game and allowed their opponents to get back into it.
After Ianis Hagi gave away a penalty that allowed Hibernian to make it 2-2 in the 61st minute, Igamane’s goal would surely have felt like the saviour of the afternoon for the Light Blues before the 83rd-minute goal that got it back level.

It was a good afternoon for Igamane though as he once again showed his quality in front of goal, scoring a hattrick on the afternoon.
While Hibs did give the Gers a golden opportunity to go forward after losing the ball, the 22-year-old showed off with another brilliant finish that proved he can be the difference for his side.
In other Rangers news, West Brom want to sign this Light Blues ace in a “bargain” deal this month.
