Dodds wowed by ‘brilliant’ Bajrami after what he did in Rangers draw v Hibernian

Nedim Bajrami has been hailed as “brilliant” by former Rangers striker Billy Dodds after what he did in the 3-3 draw against Hibernian.

The Albanian assisted Hamza Igamane with a lovely cross for the second Gers goal in the contest at Easter Road on 5 December.

However, the Gers would ultimately surrender two leads in an embarrassing collapse to give Celtic a 10-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland (5 January, 12:20 pm), Dodds praised the impact of the 25-year-old, saying: “It’s Bajrami, he’s brilliant at it, when Hagi goes inside the pitch, he fills the wide area.

“Two-v-one, far too easy, lovely pickout, it’s a great header.”

Rangers and Bajrami momentum continues after Celtic win

Clement probably thought that he had secured a stay of execution until the end of the season with a maiden victory against Celtic in his seventh attempt on 2 January.

The Gers took the momentum of that win into the clash in Edinburgh in the first-half, blowing their opposition out of the water with two goals in the first 19 minutes.

However, they allowed the opposition back into the contest and ultimately threw away two leads in a result which leaves Clement under heavy pressure again.

Bajrami has had an underwhelming season at Ibrox so far, scoring just one league goal and notching zero assists in 16 league matches before the Hibs game.

However, his impact has started to grow in recent weeks and he finally notched another goal contribution in the league with a fantastic cross for Igamane to put away but could not stop the Gers from throwing away the lead multiple times.

So far he has struggled to justify the £3.4 million fee that the Gers paid to Sassuolo to bring the Albania international to Ibrox.
