West Brom want to sign Rangers ace Devine in ‘bargain’ January deal

West Brom are in the hunt to sign Rangers right-back Adam Devine, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist reported via his Patreon account on Sunday (5 January) that the 21-year-old Glaswegian could be on the move for a “bargain” fee in the January transfer window due to the fact his Ibrox contract expires in the summer.

Devine has only played 11 times for the Gers’ senior side and spent the second half of last season on loan at Motherwell, where he played 11 times in all competitions and scored one goal.

Adam Devine to leave Rangers for West Brom?

West Brom are currently without a manager but it seems the Baggies are still trying to push on with adding to their squad this month.

Carlos Corberan left The Hawthorns for Valencia on Christmas Eve and it’s since been widely reported that the Black Country club is in no rush to appoint a replacement.

However, they do need to add to their squad, which has been hit by injuries this season.

Devine would represent an option to add some depth to the squad.

It’s unlikely he’ll become a starter with Darnell Furlong one of the Albion’s best performers this season and possibly one of the best right-backs in the Championship.

Either way, it’s a good move for Devine, who is likely to get way more of a shot at first-team football in the West Midlands than he would if he stayed in Govan.
