SFA to launch investigation after full-time Hibs v Rangers incident – Hackett
Mohamed Diomande could be involved in an SFA investigation due to an end-of-match scuffle after Rangers’ 3-3 draw with Hibernian.
Diomande, 23, was spotted near the dug-out after the final whistle pushing and shoving with a couple of Hibs players at Easter Road.
Nicky Cadden was one of them and former Premier League referee Hackett believes that the SFA might now dish out retrospective action on those who were involved.
“What a pity, that after such a terrific game, a small number of players lose their self-control,” Hackett told Ibrox News.
“The referee, if he has seen the incident, in law can still issue an appropriate coloured card.
“The Scottish FA may well take retrospective action.”
Rangers face retrospective punishment
It was a very minor scuffle at the end but the SFA could at least look at the incident and come to the conclusion that both clubs failed to control their players at the end.
If that does happen, a punishment is likely to be dished out. However, it could be something minimal like a fine, with no bans expected.

John Beaton would have given red cards if it was bad enough for a ban but he didn’t do that and probably didn’t action the incident at all due to how minor it was.
Hamza Igamane’s hat-trick for the Gers somehow wasn’t enough in Edinburgh on Sunday with Celtic now having the opportunity to move 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they takeon St Mirren on Sunday.
Next up for Philippe Clement’s side is a trip to Dundee on Thursday night.
