Hamza Igamane on fire as Jefte flops – Rangers player ratings v Hibernian

Rangers were pegged back twice by Hibernian on Sunday afternoon with Philippe Clement’s side having to settle for a point in a 3-3 draw.

Igamane was on fire for the Gers having scored all three of their goals leaving Chris Sutton in awe of his performance in front of goal.

However, a lack of defensive know-how proved costly as Hibernian came from behind on two occasions to secure a point against Clement’s side with his future at the club looking dull.

Here Ibrox News rates the performance of each Rangers player.

Liam Kelly – 5

Kelly had little to do in the game having made just three saves and there was little he could do with the three goals conceded.

Ridvan Yilmaz – 6

The Rangers fullback was neat on the ball throughout the clash while being fairly resolute defensively although he could have done more to stop crosses coming into the box from the wide area on a few occasions.

Dujon Sterling – 6

Did his job defensively for a large part of the game and his distribution from the back played a key role in Rangers taking an initial two-goal advantage before his second-half withdrawal with injury.

Robin Propper – 7

Propper was comfortably the best defender for the Gers with Hibernian rarely getting anything out of him with his willingness to get stuck into challenges proving important but a lack of dominance in the air proved costly.

Jefte – 4

Gave the ball away on several occasions and offered little to no defensive security on the left-hand side in what was a largely sloppy performance.

Mohamed Diomande – 6

Was tidy and composed on the ball for the majority of the clash but made the occasional poor decision with piled pressure on Rangers in a time where they needed some stability.

Nicolas Raskin- 5

Didn’t offer a lot in the middle of the park and often showed a lack of composure when Hibernian were starting to get a foothold in the game.

Vaclav Cerny – 6 (81′ for Barron)

Constantly tried to make things happen but little prevailed before putting one on a plate for Igamane to secure his hat trick.

Nedim Bajrami – 7

Floated in a neat cross for Igamane’s second goal of the game and was a creative outlet for the Gers although his passing at times left much to be desired.

Ianis Hagi – 5 (70′ for Danilo)

Offensively, Hagi looked a threat but like many of his teammates, his passing was often erratic and his wreckless challenge for the Hibernian penalty played a huge role in Rangers dropping two points..

Hamza Igamane – 9

Igamane was on fire for Rangers against Hibernian with two tidy first-half finishes before securing his hat trick in the second half with his all-round performance showcasing his importance to the side, there was very little more he could have done today aside from a late chance which hit the psot.

Substitutions

Danilo – 6 (70′ for Hagi)

Had little impact when coming on as a sub.

Leon King – 5 (70′ for Sterling)

Offered little in the defensive side of the game when coming on.

Connor Barron – N/A (81′ for Cerny)

Oscar Cortes – 6 (70′ for Bajrami)
