Heart and Hand thrilled as Rangers make ‘Outstanding’ announcement
David Edgar was thrilled as Rangers made an announcement after the 3-0 win against Celtic.
Gers took to X on 3 January to announce that the Old Firm derby on Thursday at Ibrox was attended by 51,605 – the largest attendance there since John Greig’s testimonial on 16 April 1978.
Ianis Hagi, Robin Propper and Danilo scored as Gers completed a rout of their cross-town rivals on 2 January.
Via X, Heart and Hand’s Edgar wrote: “Outstanding.”
Rangers fans played a role in the win over Celtic
While the players showcased their prowess on the pitch, the fans played an equally pivotal role, acting as the true 12th man.
Their unwavering support, chants and energy undoubtedly lifted the team, contributing significantly to the rout of their rivals.
The collective spirit was palpable, creating an environment that was both intimidating for Celtic and inspiring for Gers.
However, the celebration was slightly marred by an isolated incident of a fan throwing a coin at Arne Engels, which was an unfortunate blemish on an otherwise exemplary display of fan support.
Hopefully, such things never happen again and Gers fans continue doing what they do best which is to galvanise the 11 players on the pitch.
It was an iconic game and Gers fans will hope that it is the start of something special for the club.
In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a midfielder valued at around £650k in the January transfer window.
