Rangers player ratings v Celtic: Nicolas Raskin shines, Hamza Igamane flops

Rangers secured a crucial 3-0 victory against their arch rivals Celtic at Ibrox on Thursday.

Gers opened the scoring through Ianis Hagi and went into the break with a one-goal lead.

Robin Propper then added a second in the next 45 minutes while Danilo scored one off the bench and that sealed the three points for Philippe Clement’s side.

Here are our player ratings for the game:

Liam Kelly – 6

Didn’t have much to do bar make a save and a couple of interventions in what was a relatively quiet afternoon in goal for him.

Ridvan Yilmaz – 7

Looked comfortable in a makeshift right-back position and performed his role exceptionally.

Dujon Sterling – 7

Tidy and unnerved at the back as he made vital defensive contributions whenever the team needed him to.

Robin Propper – 8

Scored a much-needed goal to put some daylight between the two sides in what was a quality all-round display.

Jefte – 6

A bit off with his passing but offered legs and solidity in what was a much-improved performance.

Mohamed Diomande – 8

A quality performance in midfield as he oozed class with and without the ball at his feet.

Nicolas Raskin – 9

Wonderfully helped set up Hagi’s opener and it was due to his initial header that Propper found the back of the net.

Vaclav Cerny – 7

Had two glorious chances to score but failed to find the back of the net on both occasions.

Nedim Bajrami – 7

Looked lively in the final third and was unlucky not to get an assist.

Ianis Hagi – 8

Put the transfer talk aside with an important early goal for the hosts and was influential until the end.

Hamza Igamane – 4

Usually so good, but the Moroccan was off his game on Thursday as he failed to impose himself as a goal threat.
