Rangers decision made by near £1bn Manchester-based company
Castore have opted for Umbro to sponsor Rangers for the 2025/26 season due to financial reasons, according to Sport Business.
The news outlet reported on 23 December that the executives of the Manchester-based company believe that they will sell more Gers kits with the Umbro logo given the historical links between the two.
It’s understood that instead of Castore, the Ibrox outfit’s kits for the 2025/26 season will have the Umbro logo.
Rangers and Umbro do have a rich and cherished history
Umbro, a company that was valued at nearly £1billion a few months ago, per Yahoo Finance, will certainly bring a lot to the table at the Glasgow giants.
Gers won multiple league titles wearing Umbro kits and even reached the then UEFA Cup final with their jerseys.
There could also be certain retro kits made available to fans which will benefit the fans and give them more merchandising options.
One thing players and fans would want to ensure is that the quality of the kits improves as there have been issues with Castore.
Hopefully, all this will be taken into account ahead of the new season and fans can proudly wear the new-look Umbro kits.

They will also hope that the return to Umbro coincides with the return of silverware with the club potentially winning the league title as well.
In other Rangers news, the club have made contact to seal the transfer of a striker currently leading the Golden Boot race.
