Rangers predicted XI v Dundee – Jefte dropped in four changes

Rangers will be hoping to return to winning ways against Dundee after the Scottish League Cup final loss against Celtic.

Gers play host to Dundee in the SPFL at Ibrox on Saturday, 21 December, and Philippe Clement is expected to make changes for this one after last weekend’s intense game.

Some of his changes may be enforced after the loss to Celtic and some could be to offer rest to certain players.

Rangers could make four changes against Dundee

Robin Propper started the Old Firm derby last weekend alongside Leon Balogun and had a number of shaky moments.

With Dujon Sterling an option in place of James Tavernier at right-back as well, Clement is more likely to drop Propper and put Sterling in at centre-back.

The other change in defence could be Jefte after his poor showing not just against Celtic, but in recent games.

He has been underwhelming defensively and with Ridvan Yilmaz fit again and hungry for minutes, it makes sense to start him ahead of Jefte, who’s been everpresent.

Connor Barron could come into midfield, pushing Mohamed Diomande further up in the number 10 role.

Nedim Bajrami scored against Celtic and he could do with a breather and a second-half cameo ahead of the busy festive period.

The same can be said about Ianis Hagi with Danilo back to fitness and hoping to play more.

Rangers take on Dundee in the SPFL.

This would mean Hamza Igamane moving out wide in the inside forward role with Danilo leading the line.

In other Rangers news, the club are on course to submit a bid to sign a £2m player in the January transfer window.
