Zak Lovelace wows after what he did Rangers B 3-2 win v Celtic

Rangers may have a new superstar on their hands after what Zak Lovelace did in the B team’s 3-2 victory over Celtic.

The 18-year-old was brought on in the 68th minute of the City of Glasgow Cup final and scored the winning goal for the Gers.

With just three minutes left of normal time, the former Millwall man picked up the ball with his back to goal ran into the box and slotted past the goalkeeper with a composed finish.

Four Lads Had A Dream reacted to the late strike, saying: “A moment of magic from Zak Lovelace wins it for Rangers.”

Lovelace could be Rangers next breakout star

His goal against Celtic B was a really well-taken goal and will no doubt leave Philippe Clement keeping track of his progress.

Clement has seemed reluctant to utilise his young stars so far this season due to the pressure on his job as a result of the Light Blues struggling.

However, now that form has improved, the likes of Lovelace could be given a chance to impress with the senior side.

The young talent has featured once this season, for 16 minutes in the Europa League clash with FCSB on 24 October but after his performance against Celtic B, he may well find himself getting another first-team chance in the near future.

The Light Blues may have a new superstar on their hands.
