
Alan Hutton cannot believe what he was told about Rangers – ‘Crazy’
Alan Hutton believes Rangers having a bigger wage bill than Celtic last year is “crazy”.
Peter Grant pointed out that they outspent their arch-rivals in terms of player wages last year [Daily Record] after recent reveals at the AGM.
Hutton was quite astonished about the Light Blues’ expenditure on players’ salaries and poor transfer business, as Grant called it “incredible”.
Speaking on Premier Sports’ The Scottish Football Social Club (16 December), he said: “It tells you as well Rangers had a bigger wage bill than Celtic last year, that is quite incredible.”
Hutton reacted by saying: “Which is crazy, that is crazy.”

It is no secret that Rangers’ transfer business, in terms of incoming and outgoings, have left much to be desired recently. The lack of hierarchical stability has also not helped the Glasgow giants.
