Tam McManus has been left blown away by John Souttar’s display as Rangers beat Ross County on Sunday.
The former Hibs striker was not only impressed by his display in the 3-0 win on 8 December but the Scottish centre-back’s performance throughout the season.
The 28-year-old has made 14 league starts this term and has been a mainstay for Philippe Clement’s side.
McManus told PLZ Soccer on 9 December at 11:44: “I thought Souttar was excellent. I think he’s having a great season at Rangers. I think he was very, very solid.”
John Souttar has taken his performances to the next level at Rangers
Souttar’s performance this season has been nothing short of impressive for the Ibrox outfit and his contributions have undoubtedly delighted the fans.
His solid display against Ross County is just one example of how good he’s been in recent weeks.
Throughout the season, Souttar has been a reliable presence in defence, making 14 league starts and becoming a key player under Clement.
His ability to stay relatively fit, a significant departure from previous injury concerns, has been a major positive for the team.
This stability in the back line has not only bolstered Gers’ defence but has also brought a sense of security and confidence to the squad.
Fans have much to be hopeful about with Souttar’s continued improvement and availability, signalling a strong backbone for the coming months.
In other Rangers news, a change has been called for behind the scenes as the club cannot afford to seal the transfer of a star player.
