Neil McCann in disbelief at nightmare moment he saw in Rangers win v Ross County

Neil McCann could not believe a “nightmare” moment that he witnessed in as Rangers beat Ross County 3-0.

With the Gers already leading by a one-goal margin, County goalkeeper Jack Hamilton was caught out as he tried to play around with the ball and Danilo doubled the lead.

Light Blues stopper Jack Butland had stumbled on the ball earlier in the first half, leading to criticism from former Gers midfielder Derek Ferguson.

McCann was shocked by the incident, saying live on Sky Sports Football [8 December, 12:36pm] : “Jack Hamilton has had an absolute nightmare.

“Like Butland earlier, he takes a horrible touch and Danilo is on him in a flash.”

The goalkeeper may have handed the Gers a second goal but it would not have mattered regardless.

Philippe Clement’s side brushed their opponents away with a fantastic attacking performance at Victoria Park.

Hamza Igamane was the pick of the bunch – he was brilliant and proved why he has been one of Clement’s go-to men in recent weeks.

He opened the scoring with a stunning effort that deflected on the way in, but the fact that he had the confidence to try the long-range effort in the first place shows the kind of form he is in.

The Gers attackers have finally started to look like a more fluid unit in the last two games as opposed to the misfiring, disappointing bunch that they have for the rest of the season.

It may come too late to relieve the pressure on Clement, but it is a positive sign for the club overall.

In other Rangers news, Rangers will not be able to afford to keep Vaclav Cerny permanently according to Clement.
