Kris Boyd feels sorry for Rangers star after what happened today
Kris Boyd said he feels sorry for Nedim Bajrami after he was left out of the Rangers starting line-up against Ross County on Sunday.
Despite coming on in the 6-0 win against Kilmarnock and impressing, the attacker was resigned to a place on the bench on 8 December at the Global Energy Stadium.
The 25-year-old has made seven starts for the Gers so far this season and came on as the Bears cruised to a 3-0 win in Dingwall with their new-look side.
Speaking live on Sky Sports [8 December, 11:05], Boyd admits recent changes show what Bajrami was dealing with before: “You would feel sorry for him.
“There was nobody there for the beginning where as now coming in, there’s someone to bounce passes off and I think for Rangers, I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again for me you should always have two strikers on the pitch.
“Listen it might be a dying breed, call us old school all you want. For me, get two strikers on the pitch and score goals.”
Nedim Bajrami has a point to prove from the bench at Rangers
Philippe Clement decided to sacrifice Bajrami when changing to this new system in the final third, and so far it has worked magnificently.
Hamza Igamane, Danilo and Ianis Hagi have changed everything in the final third with their fluent work, with Vaclav Cerny completing that new-look attack.
Compare that to before, where Bajrami only had Cyriel Dessers to hit and you can understand why Boyd would feel sorry for the Albanian international at Ibrox.

The attacker has made three appearances from the bench during the campaign so far and he will no doubt have been eager to come on again against Ross County, playing a part in the third goal.
It was James Tavernier who finished off the game perfectly, but all Bajrami can do right now is make sure he takes advantage of the minutes he gets, which may increase against Tottenham in the Europa League.
Clement must keep getting results with these impressive options.
