“Rangers News understands that the game in Scotland’s top flight in Dingwall is not in danger at the time of writing (6 December, 7:30pm).

“Of course, weather can be unpredictable with the extent of damages, at times, impossible to plan for.

“But it is understood there are no plans right now for any call-offs and the game should go ahead as scheduled should there be no further complications.”

Rangers will hopefully get to play against Ross County on Sunday

Despite the widespread disruptions caused by Storm Darragh, including event cancellations and severe weather warnings, the game at Victoria Park is currently expected to proceed as scheduled.

This stems from the fact that while the storm’s impact is significant in other parts of the UK, particularly in Wales and the west coast of England, the Dingwall area, where the match will take place, has not been highlighted with the same level of severe weather warnings.

Although weather patterns can change, the storm’s most intense effects are predicted to subside by late Saturday morning and there are no amber or red warnings specifically for the Highlands.

The absence of such warnings, coupled with the logistical challenges of rescheduling, suggests that the match officials are confident in the conditions allowing the game to go ahead unless there are unforeseen last-minute complications.

Hopefully, things subside as quickly as possible causing no disruption and matches that have not yet been postponed all over the UK can go ahead as planned.

Should the game go ahead, Gers desperately need the three points and capitalise on the momentum gained from the 6-0 drubbing of Kilmarnock.
