Kris Boyd has Neil Lennon in hysterics with what he said about Rangers on Sky
Kris Boyd had ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon in hysterics with a comment made about Rangers after Sky Sports’ coverage of The Bhoys victory against Aberdeen.
The Gers gained further ground on Aberdeen on 4 December having won 6-0 against Kilmarnock as the Dons fell to a 1-0 loss to leaders Celtic.
Rangers now find themselves four points behind the Dons with a game in hand, 11 points behind Celtic, leading to Boyd making a tongue-in-cheek comment live on Sky Sports.
The ex-Gers star claimed: “Be afraid, Rangers are back.”
It got a big laugh out of Lennon, while host Eilidh Barbour wittily retorted: “Oh my goodness, we will find out on Sunday (at Ross County).”
Rangers may well be back after all
A 6-0 demolition of Kilmarnock was the Gers’ third straight victory following on from their success against Nice and St. Johnstone.
With rivals Celtic also winning, the gap from the top remains at 11 points but a win in their game in hand could reduce the gap on Aberdeen to just one point.
Perhaps the biggest change in this recent run of form has been the level of performance showcased by Philippe Clement’s side. The difference between this run in comparison to early season fixtures has been astounding.
Which begs the question, where have these standards been all season?
Even if games won by the Gers this season, they’ve looked unconvincing but their recent victories have been more than deserved and credit is due to Clement for getting his side’s performances back on track.

Of course, there is still a long way to go, with plenty of additional ground to recover on Celtic and finishing second wouldn’t be a success for REangers.
With that said, they have made an impressive turnaround in recent weeks but those levels have to be maintained.
