Cyriel Dessers must fear for Rangers future after what Philippe Clement said
Cyriel Dessers must fear his future at Rangers after Philippe Clement didn’t mention him in his press conference on Tuesday.
The Gers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox on Wednesday (4 December) as they go in search of three wins on the bounce for just the second time this season.
Ahead of the clash in Govan, the Belgian head coach has been speaking to the media with quotes shared via the club’s X account [3 December].
The ex-Monaco boss made a point of his side being better in front of goal, but failed to mention the Nigerian international after being benched for the last two games.
He said: “We have to score more goals and be lethal in the final third. Danilo is coming back, Ianis Hagi is also available which gives us other options. Hamza Igamane is taking good steps and this is important so we can rotate.”
With that being said, the 29-year-old will surely fear for his future under the Belgian after going unmentioned.

The striker was the top scorer at Ibrox last campaign but still frustrated supporters on a weekly basis.
This has continued into the new campaign – even more so, in fact, as the goals have dried up and that has seen Igamane come in from the start ahead of the Nigerian.
The summer signing has made the most of his opportunity, scoring two in the Europa League against OGC Nice while having a positive afternoon against St Johnstone.
This has proved to be a damming development for Dessers, who could struggle to get back into the starting fold, especially with the return of Danilo.
The Brazilian has spent the vast majority of his spell with the Light Blues on the treatment table but regardless, came on at McDiarmid Park ahead of last year’s top scorer.

This substitute combined with comments that have been made by Clement could point towards a lengthy spell on the bench.
With a trip to Kilmarnock on the horizon, it will be interesting to see what the Belgian does with his starting XI and his three striker options.
In other Rangers news, Alan Hutton says one star could be out for up to a month at Ibrox after an injury.
