Neil McCann slams ‘Horrible’ Robin Propper moment in St Johnstone v Rangers
Neil McCann slammed Robin Propper for a “horrible” mistimed defensive header in the first half of Rangers’ 1-0 win at St Johnstone on Sunday.
The Dutchman struggled from the outset at McDiarmid Park (1 December) and this was summed up when the 31-year-old made a mistake, missing a simple-looking header after a long punt up the pitch from the home side.
Speaking live on co-commentary for Sky Sports Football (12:34pm), McCann summed up what was a pretty poor moment for the Gers centre-back.
He said: “Wicked cross isn’t it, but again John Souttar getting himself into a really good spot. Horrible miss from Propper, totally mistimed.”

The ex-Twente man hasn’t truly settled in at Ibrox since making the summer move which was just shown by his struggles at McDiarmid Park.
From the start of the clash, the centre-back showed that he may have a potential issue which saw Leon Balogun warm up as a potential substitute option.
The Nigerian wasn’t utilised in the first half as Propper saw out the first 45 minutes without conceding before being axed during the interval.
There was a lack of true opportunities for St Johnstone so it wasn’t a surprise that he didn’t concede, like it wasn’t a surprise to see him hooked.

It is safe to say that the Dutchman needs to buck up his ideas for the Light Blues or risk being benched by Philippe Clement on a regular basis.
The Belgian is under enough pressure without dealing with the frailties of the experienced defender who can’t hasn’t managed to get to grips with the Scottish Premiership.
In other Rangers news, Keevins has suggested that Stewart will hold a service of repentance after what Clement did.
