Ally McCoist astonished by remarkable moment involving Rangers player v Nice
Ally McCoist was left baffled as Hamza Igamane fluffed a chance to score another for Rangers in their 4-1 victory against Nice on Thursday.
The Gers secured a superb result away in France, going in at half-time 3-0 up before grabbing a fourth just nine minutes after the interval.
The scoreline could have easily flattered Philippe Clement’s side more with McCoist left shocked that the Moroccan forward didn’t add to his tally live on TNT Sports (28 November).
He said: “Dear me. Absolutely unbelievable how they do not get a shot at goal, remarkable, absolutely remarkable.”
Ally McCoist baffled by Hamza Igamane Rangers error v Nice
The 22-year-old started the Europa League clash ahead of Cyriel Dessers and certainly made the most of the opportunity against stern opposition.
Ahead of the game, many supporters were unsure how their side could secure a positive result and they were arguably just as confused with the result after the full-time whistle.
The performance came out of nowhere and the Gers were more than deserving of the win and arguably should have scored more goals.
This was proved by Igamane, who despite scoring two and assisting another, still should have scored one or two more to help secure an even bigger result.

Even though he missed a whole host of chances, there was so much to admire about the Moroccan forward’s performance in everything from finishing to his ability on the ball.
He was only made to look better when his Nigerian counterpart came on and missed the target from less than six yards out under little to no pressure.
