Rangers torn apart in ‘unprofessional’ rant after what has been seen at Ibrox

Mark Guidi did not hold his tongue while discussing the “unprofessional” running of Rangers Football Club this season.

The board has been under immense pressure to sack Philippe Clement in recent weeks, especially due to the Gers falling 11 points behind their Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table.

Many fans were hugely dissatisfied with the club’s summer transfer window, and as emotions continue to boil over at Ibrox, supporters are looking forward to the appointment of Patrick Stewart next month.

Speaking via the Go Radio Football Show [26 November], Guidi said: “There’s work to be done and it’s not just about throwing money about. Rangers have been dysfunctional, disorganised and unprofessional since the summer, with how they’ve treated the stadium, the stands, and some of the appointments they’ve made.

“There’s the due diligence, some guys have left, and John Gilligan has had to carry the can. The chairman, John Bennett, had to step down for health reasons. It’s not a good picture.

“There are a lot of things that can be done by the executive team very quickly just to reshape things. But ultimately, it’s about what they do on the park, and right now, their benchmark is Celtic.

“Right now, Rangers are miles and miles and miles behind.”

Patrick Stewart and Co. set to make crucial Rangers decisions?

Stewart and the new chairman could endear themselves to the Ibrox faithful pretty quickly by getting rid of Clement, but many believe that the club would be unable to afford that right now.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and with an 11-point gap emerging in the Scottish Premiership table, it is clear that something or someone needs to change at Ibrox.

The Gers have a chance to prove themselves once again in the Europa League, with an upcoming clash against Nice. Other than the 4-1 loss to Lyon, displays against Malmo, FCSB and Olympiacos have been impressive.

Clement has several key fixtures ahead of him when it comes to keeping his job in Scotland, also facing Tottenham and Celtic during a busy winter period.

The Belgian has remained strong in front of the media, always claiming that he has the ability to turn things around at Ibrox, but time could be running out for him to prove himself.
