Boyd shares unbelievable verdict from Ibrox as Rangers v Dundee United delayed
Kris Boyd praised the Rangers ground staff for their “unbelievable” work for ensuring the Dundee United game will go ahead, despite being delayed.
The pundit reported live from Ibrox on Sky Sports News [23 November 1.38pm] ahead of the Scottish Premiership match, where conditions in Glasgow are worsening due to Storm Bert, with the kick-off time now pushed back to 3:45pm.
Boyd provided a further update on the delays as the storm wreaks havoc on the Scottish football weekend.
He said: “The Dundee United team bus was held up. What have I done to be be sent here today? It’s freezing. I’d rather be listening to Clinton [Morrison].
“The ground staff have done unbelievable work to give game best opportunity to go ahead. Conditions haven’t been great for past 24 hours but they’ve done a fantastic job once again.”
Rangers will have to battle the conditions to beat Dundee United
The Gers’ SLO relayed an update from the Met Office on Friday [22 November] that Scotland has been issued an amber weather warning heading into the clash at Ibrox.
Storm Bert has led to 10 matches set to take place on Saturday being postponed [Scottish Sun, 23 November] but it seems, for now, Rangers should be able to play out the match against Dundee United barring further updates.
Rangers have a favourable record against this weekend’s opponents and Philippe Clement must continue this streak, with his future in Glasgow hanging by a thread with each passing match.

Therefore, the conditions are adding an extra layer of unpredictability heading into the fixture and the players must battle through the windy, snowy and wet surface to record a much-needed win for the Belgian.
The Light Blues are expected to record a resounding victory against Dundee United but, with the added element of jeopardy considering Jim Goodwin’s side could leapfrog Rangers with a victory on Saturday, there is no telling who could leave Ibrox with the three points.
In other Rangers news, the Gers board have finally done something good as a record-breaking Ibrox deal is confirmed.
