Philippe Clement will be buzzing after what Rangers ace Nedim Bajrami did

Rangers star Nedim Bajrami scored for Albania albeit in a losing cause as they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Ukraine on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old dropped to the bench after failing to make a significant impact against Czechia on Saturday [16 November] but bounced back with an inspiring second-hand performance against Ukraine on 19 November.

With Albania trailing 2-0 at half-time, Bejrami came on at the start of the second period and helped them pull one back, although he ultimately fell short.

Philippe Clement will be buzzing after what Rangers ace Nedim Bajrami did

Bajrami would have been gutted to be on the losing side on Tuesday, but Philippe Clement can definitely take positives from his performance, which made the party erupt.

The attacker was one of the best players for Albania despite playing only 45 minutes, making 31 touches and completing 13 of his 15 passes with 87 per cent success [FotMob]. This included four long balls, all of which found its target [100 per cent].

He had three shots, of which one found the back of the net, one was blocked and the other did not hit the target. Only Georgiy Sudakov [four] of Ukraine had more shots than the former Sassuolo man.

Bajrami was not quite successful in his duels, winning just one of his four ground duels [25 per cent], but Clement will nevertheless be pleased with his involvement.

The Belgian tactician would want his Rangers players to react positively after having a poor game or being dropped to the bench and Bajrami did exactly that against Ukraine.

He will be looking forward to welcoming the attacker back ahead of the Gers’ Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday [23 November].
