Tam McManus shares Philippe Clement sack verdict after Rangers loss v Aberdeen

Tam McManus believes it could be time up for Philippe Clement at Rangers after no signs of improvement in the defeat against Aberdeen.

The Gers suffered a 2-1 loss at Pittodrie on Wednesday 30 October which leaves the Dons nine points clear in the Scottish Premiership.

As a result, Clement has come under fire for performances and results with ex-Hibs star questioning the Belgian’s future at Ibrox on X.

He said: “Is that time up for Philip Clement at Rangers? I’d be interested to hear the thoughts of the Rangers fans.

“I see no sign of any improvement in the players he inherited and ones he signed nor any clear pattern of play/tactics.”

Philippe Clement Rangers future questioned after Aberdeen defeat

The Light Blues boss has come under pressure in recent months for the quality of results and performances which haven’t come close to their Old Firm rivals in that time.

The end of last season saw plenty of discontent surround Ibrox but after a summer of change, expectations were once again high.

These have been dashed as Clement just continues to ask for patience from supporters as results continue to suffer.

This has only been made worse by the defeat at Pittodrie which leaves the Gers nowhere near the title race in the Scottish Premiership.

Other than an improved showing in the second half with a Nedim Bajrami goal, there was a lack of positivity to take away from the clash against Aberdeen.

This could prove to be the last straw for Clement but with the uncertainty in the boardroom at Ibrox, there is questions to be asked for supporters.

In other Rangers news, Aberdeen fans have been left outraged by the John Beaton controversy as one BBC Sport pundit has now reacted.
