Alan Brazil piles into ‘Disarray’ at Rangers with dig live on talkSPORT – ‘Tina’s lost her voice’

Alan Brazil joked “Tina’s” lost her voice as he could not resist a joke at the “disarray” at Rangers following Wednesday’s (30 October) defeat at Aberdeen.

Rangers slipped even further away from the top of the table with a defeat away at Pittodrie extending the gap to the Dons and rivals Celtic.

Celtic supporter Brazil piled in on the Gers live on talkSPORT (31 October), blaring out Tina Turner’s hit “Simply the Best”, which is regularly played at Rangers home matches, while asking for Aberdeen fans to call in.

He said: “I’m not rubbing it in at all but Aberdeen fans give us a call. We touched on this yesterday at Pittodrie, stronghold now by the way, 2-0 down at Celtic and came back, beat Rangers yesterday, missed a penalty.

“Where does that leave the Gers? And I’m not taking the mick here, where does that leave Rangers here? Disarray? Yes, Tina’s lost her voice I’m afraid. The Northern Lights are shining big, let’s hear from you. Go on Ally.”

Will Rangers sack Philippe Clement?

As of yet, there’s no indication to suggest that they will or won’t. However, Clement’s position at Ibrox is surely untenable.

The defeat to Aberdeen opened up a disturbing nine-point gap with Celtic joining the Dons to form the current top two.

Rangers’ tweet announcing the defeat had an astounding 1,500 replies. Many of them were Gers supporters expressing their concerns about the future of their club under the stewardship of the Belgian.

Perhaps Saturday’s (2 November) semi-final encounter with Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup will be his last chance to save his job.

If the Gers were to lose that game and if Clement is still in position by then, it is almost impossible to imagine a scenario where he remains at the club.

Rangers need to get back to the days of challenging for the title as they did under Steven Gerrard although their fortunes do not appear to be changing under the current regime.
