David Edgar is thrilled to have Tom Lawrence back in contention for Rangers against Aberdeen on 30 October at Pittodrie.

The Heart and Hand podcast host was initially worried that he may be out for the long term but he has made a quick return to the first team despite being a doubt for the game.

The Welshman played 45 minutes against FCSB on 24 October and found the back of the net in that one.

Edgar wrote on X: "Bit of good news, was worried Lawrence would be longer-term."

Tom Lawrence has showed up for Rangers this season

Lawrence's swift return to action for the Ibrox outfit is indeed a significant boost, especially given his impressive form this season.

With five goals and an assist in just 10 games across all competitions, Lawrence has dramatically stepped up his contribution compared to previous seasons but still appears to have some fitness issues.

The 30-year-old's ability to find the back of the net, as demonstrated in his recent 45-minute stint against FCSB, adds a vital cutting edge to Rangers' attack.

His return not only replenishes the squad depth but also brings back a player in scintillating form, which is crucial as Rangers face Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Lawrence's presence on the pitch can alter game dynamics, providing both goal-scoring threat and creative flair, which are essential for maintaining momentum in their campaign.

His return has also come at an opportune time as Gers face an almost do-or-die game against Aberdeen on Wednesday.
