Chris Sutton shares four-word verdict ahead of Rangers showdown v Aberdeen at Pittodrie

Chris Sutton has shared a four-word verdict ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash between Rangers and Aberdeen on Wednesday 30 October.

The Light Blues will look to reduce the gap with the Dons to three points at Pittodrie this evening, while Jimmy Thelin and Co. will be determined to keep their unbeaten run intact.

It is a game most Scottish Premiership fans are looking forward to this midweek and it is no different for Sutton.

The Englishman took to social media to express his excitement for the showdown, writing on X: “Can’t wait for this.”.

Aberdeen clash crucial for Rangers

The trip to Pittodrie is crucial to Rangers’ hopes of winning the league this season as a defeat could see them drift nine points away from Aberdeen.

Should Celtic beat Dundee at home in their game this evening, Philippe Clement’s side will have a mountain to climb to catch up with the two table-toppers.

The Gers’ recent record at Pittodrie is not promising as they have only one of their last four league trips there. It is, therefore, imperative that all the players are at their best against the Dons this time.

Clement and Co. will go into the game looking to build on their wins against FCSB and St Mirren in the UEFA Europa League and the Premiership respectively.

Meanwhile, Sutton, who took little time to take a dig at Rangers when they lost 1-0 at Kilmarnock, will no doubt be quick to aim a jibe if Aberdeen win.

In other Rangers news, the club could be in line for a financial upgrade if this deal goes through.
