Philippe Clement told he cannot lose Aberdeen game with pressure still on Rangers boss
Scott McDermott believes Rangers will get a draw at Aberdeen with Philippe Clement under pressure to get results.
Gers travel to Pittodrie on Wednesday (30 October) in the Scottish Premiership, and the Belgian manager will be looking to reduce the gap at the top of the table.
The Dons have won all their home games this season, and are unbeaten home and away, while the Light Blues have just one win away from home.
McDermott, speaking on the Daily Record’s Hotline Live [29 October], doesn’t envisage Rangers getting a victory but has predicted a 1-1 draw due to the importance of the occasion for Clement.
“I think Rangers might only be able to get a draw. Clement can’t lose this game, and for that reason, they’ll probably take something,” he said.
“I think it’s hard to envisage Rangers going up there and winning with this team. I think it’ll be a draw. Probably one each.”
Rangers need a win over Aberdeen
The tale of the tape isn’t encouraging for Rangers, with the hosts boasting an impressive start to the campaign.
Clement has struggled to get the best out of his team, and the 2-1 victory over St Mirren showcased the team’s fragilities on either end of the pitch.
Robin Propper didn’t do himself any favours with an horrendous performance against Stephen Robinson’s team.

On the other end of the pitch, Hamza Igamane failed to make an impact after replacing Cyriel Dessers in the starting lineup.
As things stand, the Light Blues are six points off Aberdeen, who are level on points with Celtic at the top.
Even though there is still a long way to go in the season, a loss would be detrimental to the Bears’ hopes of remaining in the title race.
With questions surrounding Clement’s suitability in the Ibrox dugout, the Belgian manager is on thin ice and can’t afford any negative results from now on.
