Rangers and Celtic transfer claim emerges in Motherwell star Lennon Miller chase
Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller will be looking at bigger clubs beyond Rangers and Celtic, believes Kris Boyd.
Speaking about the 18-year-old, Boyd was full of praise as he expects even German clubs to be in the hunt to secure his services.
At 16, he became the youngest-ever player in Motherwell’s history to make a senior debut for the club.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun Sport, Boyd, a Sky Sports pundit, said at 14:31: “No disrespect to Rangers or Celtic in terms of Scottish football, I think he’s looking bigger than that.
“Look at the clubs that will be interested. If you look especially at Lennon Miller, he is one hell of a talented kid. He seems so levelheaded.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if German clubs arrive on the scene and let’s not be kidding when you look at this kid and what he brings to a game of football, I wouldn’t be surprised if even the big ones down the road are looking at him.
“I think he’s exceptional.”
Rangers must attempt to sign Lennon Miller as soon as possible
Miller represents a unique opportunity for Gers to secure an up-and-coming Scottish talent who could elevate the team’s stature both domestically and in Europe.
While Boyd’s speculation about Miller’s potential interest from top-tier European clubs is compelling, Rangers could offer a more immediate and less risky platform for the teenager to develop.
At Ibrox, the 18-year-old could continue to refine his skills in a competitive environment without the overwhelming pressure of stepping directly into a Champions League giant’s squad, where minutes might be limited.
His success at Rangers could not only bolster the team’s performance but also increase his market value, potentially attracting higher offers in the future, benefiting the Glasgow outfit through improved transfer fees or player development reputation.
It remains to be seen if Philippe Clement or the decision makers at the club are as impressed as Boyd is with Miller.
The Scotsman is extremely capable of adding something unique to this Gers side and hopefully, he is targeted by the club.
