Rangers have agreed a loan deal to bring Southampton winger Samuel Edozie to Ibrox, according to Jacob Tanswell.

The Athletic journalist reported on 30 August that Gers are still unsure if they can sign the 21-year-old before the deadline.

Via X, Tanswell wrote: "Rangers have agreed a loan deal to sign Samuel Edozie from #SaintsFC. 21yo had interest from several in Championship & others in UK who were notified of his availability. Rangers the ones to agree terms but unsure deal can be done before the deadline."

Rangers need to accelerate their pursuit of Samuel Edozie

With less than half an hour remaining in the transfer window, Gers need to act swiftly and decisively to finalise the loan deal for Edozie.

They must ensure all contractual terms are agreed upon with both Edozie and Southampton, including any clauses for a potential permanent transfer or performance-related bonuses.

Given the time constraint, Gers' negotiation team should expedite any outstanding financial discussions or personal terms with the player.

Concurrently, they should prepare and expedite the necessary paperwork, ensuring all legalities are in order for a quick submission to the relevant football authorities.

Communication channels need to be kept open with Southampton to address any last-minute changes or issues.

Additionally, if Edozie requires a medical, Rangers might need to arrange an express evaluation or rely on recent medical records if permissible.

They can also say the deal is subject to a medical and conduct it on 31 August.
