Rangers reach agreement to sign Neraysho Kasanwirjo as he jets into Scotland

Rangers have reached an agreement to sign Neraysho Kasanwirjo on loan from Feyenoord, according to 1908.nl.

The Dutch outlet reported on 30 August that the versatile defender is on a plane to Glasgow to formalise his transfer to the Light Blues.

The 22-year-old looks set to move to Ibrox on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer included in the deal.

The Dutchman has made limited appearances for the Eredivisie giants since joining from Groinengen on a free transfer in 2023.

This saw him go out on loan to Rapid Wein where he played more regular football but hasn’t been afforded that chance in Rotterdam.

Kasanwirjo now looks set to join the Light Blues where he will be hoping to be a feature in the Scottish Premiership throughout the season.

Philippe Clement has been keen to add to his squad before the 30 August deadline and now he appears to be getting his wish.

The Dutchman is extremely versatile with the ability to play in either full-back role or as a centre-back if called upon.

This could prove to make him a useful cog in the machine at Ibrox as the Gers prepare to fight on all fronts in the league, cup competitions and in Europe moving deeper into the season.
