Rangers get transfer green signal as club chief issues Nedim Bajrami confirmation
Rangers and Sassuolo are expected to reach an agreement soon to sign Nedim Bajrami, according to the director of the Italian club Giovanni Carnevali.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported on 30 August that Gers will be paying £3.3million for the Albania midfielder on transfer deadline day.
Carnevali himself has confirmed that things are progressing and the deal now appears to be in the final stages.
Carnevali said as Chris Jack reported Gers being close to securing the signing: “It’s being finalised but still not done. We are working on it. I think we’ll reach an agreement soon.”
Rangers secure a stellar signing in Nedim Bajrami
The Albanian’s versatility across the attacking midfield positions offers tactical flexibility, allowing Rangers to adapt their formation without compromising on quality.
His performance at Euro 2024, where he scored the tournament’s fastest goal, showcases his ability to make an immediate impact, a trait invaluable in high-pressure matches.
Bajrami’s experience in Serie A, despite Sassuolo’s relegation, means he’s accustomed to a competitive environment, which should translate well to the Scottish Premiership’s intensity.
His technical skills, highlighted by his vision and passing range, promise to enhance Rangers’ midfield creativity, potentially unlocking defences and creating scoring opportunities.
Moreover, at 25, Bajrami is at an age where he can grow with the club, offering long-term potential.
His arrival not only boosts the team’s quality but also signals Gers’ ambition in the transfer market, aiming to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.
