Todd Cantwell agrees personal terms to quit Rangers after travelling out of Scotland
Todd Cantwell has agreed a deal with Blackburn Rovers and has travelled south of the border to complete the move from Rangers, according to The Scottish Sun.
Andy Devlin’s report from Friday [29 August] details that the two clubs have agreed a “vastly reduced fee” as Philippe Clement is desperate to get Cantwell off the books.
The midfielder himself has also made clear his desire to leave Ibrox in this transfer window, and is set to return to the Championship.
Rangers and Todd Cantwell to finally part ways
It will be a case of disappointment but relief all round when Cantwell dots the Is and crosses the Ts on his contract at Ewood Park.
The end of a chapter beckons whereby flashes of quality were indeed shown, but often marred by the double-edged sword of some needless social media antics or rumours of unrest.
This hearsay has now come to fruition, and the badge kissing and refusal to play for the B team is over and out. Cantwell needs to progress at a prime age in his career, and Clement and the Gers certainly need to move on.

With Cantwell, Scott Wright and Ben Davies all out the door, the shackles are eased slightly on the capabilities Rangers have to spend, with Nils Koppen leading the recruitment charge tirelessly behind the scenes.
Clement is dying to improve his squad beyond the players the club have already secured, and it can be confidently considered that the Belgian will breathe a huge sigh following the deadline as he finalises his squad for the marathon ahead.
In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson urges the club to “seriously consider” selling Jack Butland.
