Rangers given green signal as Brighton attacker Jeremy Sarmiento transfer update emerges

Rangers will have to be considerate initially while building up the minutes of Jeremy Sarmiento if they do sign him from Brighton, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 22-year-old’s game time last season was erratic but that does not necessarily mean he’s a high-risk signing for the Ibrox outfit.

This comes after The Fourth Official reported on 28 August that Gers are exploring a deadline-busting deal to sign the Ecuador international.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

His minutes were erratic last season but I wouldn’t term it as a red flag or something that should dissuade the club from signing him.

Rangers have to be considerate of that when building up his fitness, training, and on pitch minutes – all within the context of being a younger player.

He’s got decent Premier League and Championship experience under his belt so there’ll likely be very less adapting to the Scottish league.

Jeremy Sarmiento would be a solid signing for Rangers

Gers must sign the Ecuador international Sarmiento due to his potential to significantly enhance their attacking options.

His experience in the English Premier League with Brighton, coupled with a full season in the Championship, indicates he’s ready for first-team action.

The 22-year-old is also experienced on the international stage and even if he’s signed permanently, he’ll be a good long-term investment.

In other Rangers news, an update has emerged as Gers hold talks to sign a former Premier League defender on a free transfer.
