Ianis Hagi torn to shreds after Rangers news in last 24 hours, ‘stop crying your heart out’
Rangers outcast Ianis Hagi and his agent have been torn to shreds by Stevie Clifford after new developments at Ibrox ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Light Blues attacking midfielder, who has been working with the B Team so far this season, has revealed that he hasn’t asked to leave Glasgow despite being linked with a late exit [Instagram, 27 August].
Both Hagi’s agent and father Gheorghe Hagi have openly discussed the Romanian international’s future in recent weeks and Four Lads Had A Dream host Clifford has slammed the constant noise around the player.
Speaking on the Rangers Review YouTube channel (28 August) he said: “What I would say is with his dad and his agent, they’re always coming out with something.
“His agent says, there’s a lot of interest in Ianis, Ianis will be moving soon, Ianis is out of contract this summer, Ianis is this and Ianis is that.”
“Stop crying your heart out, he says so much and his dad as well. Look, I’m a wee bit fed up with it. I think everybody will feel that way it’s a shame on Ianis as well because I can’t help but feel that his career is stalling.
“He needs to get a move that suits him. I don’t think that even if his wages were reconstructed and everything else, he’s adding much at this moment in time to Clement’s team. I don’t think Clement fancies him, if he did, he would have had it sorted by now.”
Will Ianis Hagi exit Rangers ahead of the Ibrox transfer deadline?
As Clifford suggests, there has been so much talk around Hagi over the course of the summer transfer window, to the point that it has dominated a lot of the headlines coming out of Ibrox at this moment in time.
It is all well and good that the Romanian international is now suggesting that he doesn’t want to leave Rangers this summer, but he was also open about his desire to find a new club before the Euros got underway.
As Clifford suggests, it feels as though there have been so many mixed messages from the player and his camp over the last few months. With only days left of the transfer window, both the club and the player have to find a solution.
It doesn’t seem as though Clement is particularly keen to reintegrate him back into his plans at this moment in time and if that is the case, Hagi, his dad and his agent all need to just take their medicine and find the midfielder a new club.
