Brandon Williams medical verdict shared as Rangers open transfer talks

Brandon Williams, who recently left Manchester United, may have issues clearing his Rangers medical due to recent injuries, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 23-year-old English left-back’s lack of game time too puts him in the high risk category for clubs looking to sign him.

This comes after Keith Jackson reported on 16 August that Gers have held behind-the-scenes talks over signing the full-back on a free transfer.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He did not play the second half of last season and the lack of game time immediately puts him at a high risk of re-injury.

It sounds like he is dealing with multiple recurrent injury issues and most recently had yet another setback.

It can certainly be a yellow or even a red flag and could bring up issues on the medical so I’d warn clubs accordingly.

Brandon Willams on a free may be good business for Rangers

Signing Williams on a free transfer represents a low-risk move for Gers due to his proven track record at Manchester United and his versatility in defence.

His experience in high-pressure environments and his youthful potential for growth make him an attractive option.

Given Rangers’ recent injury concerns at full-back, Williams could provide the necessary depth without the financial burden of a transfer fee and he’s capable of playing as a right as well as a left-back.

In other Rangers news, a major development has emerged as Gers have submitted a loan-to-buy bid to sign a new first-team player.
