Philippe Clement has issued an update on his Rangers side ahead of the game against Hearts at Tynecastle Park on 3 August.

Robin Propper, who recently moved to Ibrox is confirmed fit for the game, but unfinished paperwork may rule him out.

Summer signing Vaclav Cerny confirmed that he will not be ready to start for Gers, but will want to play a part while Dujon Sterling is set to miss out.

Clement said: "We don't know yet with Propper ahead of tomorrow, we are waiting on all papers to be final.

"Physically he is ready, but will of course need to adapt to our style of play."

Rangers must begin with a win against Hearts

The opening fixture of the Scottish Premiership season for Gers against Hearts is a challenging one, especially as it is an away game.

Tynecastle Park is known for its intimidating atmosphere and Hearts will be eager to start their campaign with a strong performance in front of their home fans.

Clement will need to ensure his team is well-prepared for this tough test.

The signings made by the club have not inspired much confidence among the fanbase, and there is a sense of pessimism about their chances of winning the league.

The Belgian will need to work on his tactical system and motivate his players to overcome the challenge posed by Hearts.

A positive result in this fixture could provide a much-needed boost to their confidence and set the tone for the rest of the season, but a poor performance or a defeat could further dampen the spirits of the fans and increase the pressure on Clement and his team.
