Philippe Clement does not seem to fancy Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland at Rangers, according to Tam McManus.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer on 31 July, McManus stated that if Gers are to sign him, it would be the board pushing for the deal.

It's understood that Hearts are looking for a fee between £4million and £5million to part ways with the 28-year-old. [Edinburgh News, 24 July]

7:46: "I don't think that Philippe Clement fancies him as a player. If he was to go to Rangers I think it would be a board decision. I think that he doesn't fit the profile that Clement wants. He wants athletic players, quick players."

Rangers must sign a striker as potent as Lawrence Shankland if they are to challenge for the title

Gers must sign a striker as potent as Shankland if they are to challenge for the title as he has proven himself as a prolific goal-scorer in the Scottish Premiership, consistently finding the back of the net for Hearts.

His ability to score goals would greatly enhance Rangers' attacking threat and increase their chances of winning matches.

The Ibrox outfit have struggled in front of goal highlighting the need for a reliable and consistent goal-scorer.

Shankland's arrival would provide the team with a much-needed boost in the attacking department, offering a reliable source of goals.

If Clement does not rate him, surely there would be someone he has in mind who he would want to bring to Ibrox.

Gers cannot continue to rely on Cyriel Dessers and Danilo so hopefully, they bring someone quality through the door.
