Robin Propper set for dream Rangers transfer after new agreements
Rangers have reached an agreement with FC Twente for the transfer of their club captain Robin Propper, according to De Telegraaf.
The Dutch news outlet reported that the 30-year-old centre-back appears to have finally got his “dream” move to Gers.
Sources from the club have gone on to claim that the Dutch defender is indeed on the verge of sealing a move to Ibrox.
Propper is expected to follow the likes of Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Connor Barron, Clinton Nsiala, Hamza Igamane and Liam Kelly, all of whom sealed permanent moves this summer.
Rangers and Nils Koppen work swiftly to get the Robin Propper deal over the line
Gers appear to have swiftly secured the services of FC Twente captain Propper thanks to the efficient work of Nils Koppen, the club’s director of football operations.
The Dutch defender, who had long desired a move to Rangers, appears to be on the verge of completing the transfer, demonstrating Koppen’s ability to negotiate effectively.
Koppen’s relationship with Twente, having facilitated the transfer of Sam Lammers to the Dutch club, likely played a significant role in smoothing the negotiations for the 30-year-old.
This existing connection between the clubs may have expedited the process, allowing Rangers to secure the experienced centre-back without unnecessary delays.
Propper’s arrival at Ibrox is a testament to Koppen’s proactive approach in the transfer market, ensuring that Gers are well-prepared for the upcoming season.

Work is still left to be done but this is as promising a sign as any that things are heading in the right direction.
