Rangers transfer news as Oussama Targhalline medical update emerges
Rangers target Oussama Targhalline may fail his medical if something outside the normal range is detected after two major injuries last season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his recovery would consist of a number of things as he aims to achieve match fitness by playing regularly.
L’Equipe reported on 3 July that Gers wanted to secure the services of the 21-year-old Moroccan midfielder who’s currently playing for Le Havre.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He had two major injuries last season and that’s certainly something to consider.
“His recovery routine for each would consist of gradually increasing mobility, strength and neuromuscular control with a gradual reintroduction to higher intensity movements and sport-specific activities.
“If there’s something that is outside of the normal range, that might cause an issue with his medical but there is that slight chance.“
Rangers must consider signing Oussama Targhalline
At 22 years old, Targhalline has already shown promise in Ligue 1, making 14 appearances and helping Le Havre avoid relegation.
His ability to play as a defensive midfielder adds depth and versatility to the squad with Philippe Clement looking to strengthen in the middle of the park.
Moreover, with his deal expiring in 2025, it presents a possible bargain for the Scottish club.

The club have also signed Hamza Igamane who’s a Moroccan as well so Targhalline would be more open to joining his compatriot.
In other Rangers news, a striker linked with a move to Ibrox now admits that he could leave and hold talks with his club.
