Why the transfer of Hamza Igamne is a good piece of business for Rangers
Rangers need attacking reinforcements this season. Although many changes have already occurred within their ranks, no striker additions have yet been made.
Igamane is likely the first of many signings to try and help dethrone Celtic once again.
Although Philippe Clement has the likes of Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers within his ranks, the future of the pair is still largely up in the air, especially in the case of Dessers.
The Nigeria international was the main talisman last season and managed to bag 22 goals across all competitions.
Since the end of the 2023/24 season, the 29-year-old has handed in a transfer request [Soccernet, 25 June] as he looks for a way out of Ibrox.
Although his goals will be difficult to replace, Igamane’s arrival will no doubt soften the blow, especially since he could lead the line and add his attacking prowess to the side.
In other Rangers news, the Gers might have already found their Todd Cantwell replacement.
