Rangers transfer news as agent shares new Ianis Hagi exit update at Ibrox
Ianis Hagi’s agent Giovanni Becali has admitted it will be hard for Rangers to find a club willing to buy the midfielder permanently this summer.
The Romanian international spent last season on loan in Spain with Deportivo Alaves and is expected to depart Ibrox again this summer with reports suggesting he doesn’t have a future under Philippe Clement in Glasgow [Chris Jack, 27 June].
While most have expected the attacking midfielder to depart on a permanent deal, his agent has hinted that another loan spell may well be on the cards when a decision is made over his future during pre-season.
As quoted by Fanatik and relayed by Football Scotland (27 June) he said: “He has a contract with Rangers.
“He will go there for pre-season, start training and then the decision will be made if they will loan him. He has a bigger contract. It’s hard to find a buyer. He needs continuity.”
Will Rangers sell Ianis Hagi during the summer transfer window at Ibrox?
If it can be done, a permanent move away from Ibrox this summer would be the perfect move for everyone involved at Ibrox as it would allow the Gers to raise some funds and hand Hagi some continuity.
But for such a deal to take place, somebody has to be willing to match the Light Blues’ valuation which doesn’t seem likely at this moment in time and Hagi has to be willing to accept their offer on a personal level.
If that doesn’t happen, the Light Blues will be left with the Romanian international who doesn’t really appear to have a place in Clement’s plan.

Maybe the Belgian would adapt to use the midfielder more, but he already has a number of options in that number 10 role and it would be hard for Hagi to displace someone like Todd Cantwell.
Hopefully, a decision will be reached early in pre-season so that both the player and the club know exactly where they stand.
In other Rangers news, the Light Blues will have been handed assurances about Jack Butland’s future amid recent transfer speculation
