Tom Lawrence wants to quit Rangers now for one transfer
Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence wants to leave Ibrox in order to link up with Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Besiktas, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish outlet reported on its website that the Super Lig side has been in contact with Lawrence already ahead of a potential move.
Van Bronckhorst brought the now 30-year-old Welsh international to Ibrox in the 2022 summer transfer window, and having made little impact since, a reunion with his former manager is on the cards [Scottish Daily Mail].
Tom Lawrence looks set to seal transfer away from Rangers
Rangers’ squad overhaul this summer is being led front and centre by Philippe Clement, and the Belgian may feel inclined to sanction Lawrence’s departure if he is so keen on joining Besiktas.
The Belgian only saw fit to start Lawrence on 14 occasions last season, and in a summer which has already seen several senior figures in the squad head for pastures new, it could be time for the forward to do the same [Fraser Wilson].

Bayern Munich starlet Yusuf Kabadayi’s imminent signing at Ibrox shapes as an immediate replacement for Lawrence before he’s even out of the door, and being 10 years the Welshman’s junior represents a clear idea of the squad Clement is trying to build [The 4th Official].
Six goals across a meagre 40 appearances in blue hasn’t represented good value for Lawrence – even if he arrived for free – and with just 12 months left on his contract, Rangers cashing in would be the best move for all parties.
In other Rangers news, a long-term contract offer has been made to a sought-after player the Light Blues want.
