Rangers ready for Albion Rrahmani transfer as FIFA agent shares new update
FIFA agent Cristian Cernodolea has predicted how much Rangers will have to pay to sign Rapid Bucharest striker Albion Rrahmani this summer.
Nils Koppen has reportedly already made contact with the player’s camp over a potential transfer as the Gers look to bolster their ranks ahead of next season.
However, Cernodolea thinks Rapid Bucharest have already received offers that fall below their valuation and will not sell for less than that.
Speaking to GSP Live (11 June), he said: “Knowing the market and what is happening in the market, I am absolutely convinced that Rrahmani will leave this summer.
“I know Rapid has offers on the table. There are many teams that came to see him, important teams, there had their scouts at matches in Bucharest. I’m sure some of them were impressed, I have information on that.
“If I had to estimate, I would say that at this point I’m almost convinced Rapid has between five and six million [£5million] on the table for Rrahmani. And I don’t think they will sell him for that amount.
“The club is aiming for somewhere around seven to eight million [up to £6.7million].”
Should Rangers shell out for Albion Rrahmani?
Rrahmani’s debut season for Rapid Bucharest could hardly have gone much better.
The striker – who turns 24 at the end of August – hit six goals in his first four league outings and ended the campaign with a total of 17 strikes in 26 appearances totalling 2,205 minutes across all competitions.
That works out to a goal every 129.7 minutes – an outstanding strike rate.
If the Kosovo international can replicate anything like that kind of form at Ibrox, Rapid Bucharest’s asking price of up to £7million – does not seem too steep.
Right-back and skipper James Tavernier ended the season as the Gers’ top scorer in all competitions, with 24 strikes – two more than first-choice centre-forward Cyriel Dessers managed in 54 appearances.

The Nigeria international’s haul was not poor, by any means – but there is certainly a feeling that Rangers could do with a boost in firepower through the addition of a forward who can conjure goals up out of nothing.
If Rrahmani can be that man for head coach Philippe Clement, at least Rangers are now ready for what sort of price they will need to pay for the transfer.
