Rangers transfer update as five players mentioned in scout update on Tuesday
Five young Rangers players have been named as scouts reel off their next targets from Scottish football, according to The Athletic.
The report on 11 June states that there has been an influx of agents from England into Scotland recently, all looking to sign “the next big thing”.
Oliver Goodbrand, Cameron Fernie, Jack Caldwell, Aiden McCallion and Aiden Crilly have all been named from Auchenhowie, as they may be poached south of the border.
Should Rangers worry about losing their brightest talents?
Premier League clubs’ interest in luring the brightest young talents in the Scottish game south of the border appears to have increased in recent seasons.
The English top-flight’s financial muscle makes fending off attention from unwanted suitors and keeping hold of the top performers an increasingly difficult task.
However, if the Gers ensure they create a pathway from the youth ranks into the first team and develop a reputation for giving young players chances, it will increase the likelihood of budding stars choosing to entrust their development and early careers to those at Ibrox, rather than moving elsewhere.

Philippe Clement demonstrated his intent to place his faith in youth last term, handing out minutes to 10 players aged 21 or younger in all competitions in 2023/24, with Ross McCausland even racking up 1,953 minutes across 39 appearances.
Should that continue, Rangers stand a good chance of keeping hold of their brightest and best.
In other Rangers news, a Ridvan Yilmaz approach has been made, with a transfer now on the cards.
